Anthony Edwards Reveals His Postgame Message for Jamal Murray After Game 4

The Denver Nuggets evened up the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road on Sunday night, a series in which the home team has yet to come away victorious. In the immediate aftermath of Game 4, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards and Nuggets star Jamal Murray could be seen exchanging some words before going their separate ways.

Edwards was asked about the postgame exchange, and he explained to reporters what was said between him and Murray.

"I just told his ass, 'we love that, keep talking that, that's what we like.' At least, I love it," said Edwards. "He didn't say nothing back, but I'm pretty sure he heard me. They heard me. We live for that."

Edwards led the game with 44 points, but it wasn't enough to topple the reigning champs, who won 115–107. League MVP Nikola Jokic led the charge for the visitors with 35 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

The intensity figures to get higher from here, with the back and forth between Murray and Edwards setting the stage for a high-stakes Game 5 back in the Mile High City. After Minnesota jumped out to a 2–0 lead, the series is knotted up once more, with three games left to play.

Denver is looking to become just the fifth team in league history to win a series after going down 2–0 with both losses coming at home.

Edwards, 22, has now scored 40 or more points in three of his team's eight playoff games. He has yet to back away from any challenge the Nuggets have thrown at him, and indicated with his postgame comments that he's built for moments like these.
